Kulp, Chris
Chris Kulp is a professor of physics, science fiction author, and the 2022 winner of the Mike Resnick Memorial Award for Best Science Fiction Short Story by a New Author.
Chris writes thought-provoking character-driven sci-fi with themes of found family. His stories are about the future and what it reveals about us now. His novels blend science with emotional depth, examining how artificial intelligence, environmental collapse, and moral choice shape the future of humanity. A physicist by training and storyteller by nature, Kulp brings a scientist’s curiosity and a humanist’s empathy to every page. He lives in Pennsylvania, where he divides his time between physics, writing, and imagining the worlds that might come next.
He has also co-authored nearly 30 scientific articles and two physics textbooks.
