Alexei Panshin was an award winning science fiction author and critic. He is best known for his Nebula-award winning novel, Rite of Passage, and his Hugo-award winning history of science fiction, The World Beyond the Hill, co-authored with his wife, Cory Panshin.

Alexei passed away in August 2022, shortly after his 82nd birthday. He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Cory, and his sons Adam and Tobiah.
