The review program will be managed via BookSiren.com and participation requires your consent for us to share your email with them.
There is no cost (from us or BookSiren) to join this program. Nor is there any compensation given to reviwers for participation in this program.
You may be provided an un-proofed digital ARC or the final eBook.
BEST PRACTICES
Reviews must be honest. Positive, mixed, or negative reviews are all acceptable.
There is no payment, gift card, refund, bonus, contest entry, or future benefit for reviewing.
A free ARC/review copy does not require a review and does not require a favorable review.
Do not say you purchased the book if you received a review copy.
Suggested disclosure (not required, but aligns with best practices): “I received an advance review copy from the publisher; this is my honest opinion.”
Focus on the book itself: story, characters, pacing, prose, worldbuilding, emotional impact, genre fit, and who would enjoy it.
Specific reviews are more useful than generic praise. Mention what worked and what did not. “Great Book” does not tell the potential reader anything. “I really like the way the author…..” will give the potential reader solid facts to go on.
Avoid spoilers, or clearly mark them before discussing plot twists or endings.
A good review does not need to be long. One thoughtful paragraph is enough as long as it is specific.
Star ratings should match the review text. Do not give five stars unless the written review supports it.
Do not review if you are the author, publisher, employee, close family member, or someone with a personal/financial conflict.
Do not coordinate wording with other reviewers or copy/paste publisher language.
